My name is Georgie Davie and I am the Team Administrator at The Next Step.
I am one of our newest team members at TNS, having started 2020 by leaping from my corporate banking background with the Bendigo Bank, into the fun TNS family! I have a passion for people and of the most rewarding parts of my new role is meeting all the clients, and their families/carers. It’s obvious that I have joined a fun and fabulous team and I love supporting the terrific trainer’s with my super admin and organisational skills. I always leave the centre each day feeling appreciated, knowing my contribution means the TNS family continues to grow and I play a small, but important part in helping the TNS athletes achieve their goals. One special moment I recall, was recently seeing TNS athlete Helen use the Biodex and take those amazing steps!
Outside of TNS I am a proud Mum of three kids, daughter, Lucy, 16, son Sam, 14 and another son Nath who is 8. Whilst far from being a superstar athlete these days, I enjoy keeping active at times, by walking, swimming and social tennis. My favourite social activity, apart from socialising with my friends, is riding my motorbike. I had a passion for two-wheels from a young age and love nothing more than grabbing my riding buddies and taking on the “twisties” on my Yamaha mt-09. I’ve clocked up more than 12,000km’s in the past 12 months, travelling all around Victoria, to many places all the way from Mildura to the Mornington Peninsula.
5 things you should know about me:
I’ve got a varied administrative background over the last 25 years. Having worked for government, to the big corporate players in just about every admin role invented – payroll, accounting, HR and many PA/EA positions.
When I take the family away, we love heading to the Sunshine Coast for theme park fun or camping, usually near a river and enjoy water sports such as jet-skiing and water-skiing fun. (Well it is just a motorbike on water!)
My life mantra is “use things not people, love people not things”.
My all-time favourite food is Thai, having a particular fondness for noodles.
I am a huge cricket fan and a slightly less passionate Bombers supporter in the AFL.
