What to Expect During a Reiki Healing Session

A standard Reiki session generally lasts between 60 to 90 minutes, which includes an initial assessment. During your first visit, you will meet with Reiki practitioner Antoinette and have a brief introduction and discussion about the process, your expectations, and intentions. Feel free to share any physical or mental discomfort you may be experiencing or specific symptoms you’d like to address during the treatment. If you have any physical injuries or areas sensitive to touch, please inform the practitioner.

Subsequently, you will be asked to lie down on a table, and Antoinette will cover you with a blanket. Soothing music will play softly in the background, creating a serene atmosphere for the healing session.

Typically, there is limited conversation during the session. However, you are encouraged to communicate if you experience any discomfort or wish to share your feelings or sensations.

To initiate the healing process, Antoinette will move her hands around or above your body, utilising sacred Reiki symbols. Some individuals even report visualisations, such as colours, images, or the emergence of memories during the session. It’s advisable to remain open to these experiences without attaching excessive significance to them, as they may become more profound and clear as you continue with Reiki.

Keep in mind that Reiki serves as a complementary therapy and should be used in conjunction with your primary treatment plan.

It can also complement other therapies, including Access Bars, one-on-one coaching sessions, and meditation.

You may probably ask yourself how does distance healing work if you’re not being physically in the same room. Distance healing (also known as remote healing) works with chi energy that can be sent across any distance to a seeker. The energy healing can be sent through emotion, and intention to the receiver with pure intentions to heal, so it will positively affect the seeker. No matter how small or vast the distance is, energy can travel beyond the limits of time and space to reach you wherever you are. Remote healing and prayers can both send across time and space. The best thing about distance healing is that not only humans but also animals and the environment can heal from distance healing.
