Do you find your work meaningful?
For me, being a physiotherapist is a deeply meaningful career, allowing me to support individuals on their rehabilitation journey and create opportunities for them to move, exercise, and thrive.
What inspires you most about your work?
Knowing that my role as an allied health professional contributes to someone’s ability to function in their daily life is incredibly rewarding. I love being able to help individuals participate in everyday activities and support them in reaching their movement goals, whether that’s completing a triathlon, playing local sports, or making regular visits to the gym.
Meet Olivia Bucoy, a dedicated physiotherapist who just joined the TNS team. With a background working with elite and local sports teams, as well as in sports and musculoskeletal practices, Olivia brings her passion for helping people achieve their movement goals to this new role. At TNS, she focuses on injury assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management through manual therapy like dry needling and massage, as well as exercise rehabilitation.
Olivia is inspired by the meaningful outcomes she helps create for athletes, supporting them in improving their everyday functional skills and taking on new challenges. Whether it’s helping someone get back to local sports, regularly attend the gym, or even complete a triathlon, Olivia finds immense satisfaction in being a part of their journey.
A morning person at heart, Olivia spends her weekends with her family, her fiancé Martin, and their groodle, Mars. A fan of Japanese cuisine, she’s always up for a matcha and a walk. Though she doesn’t spend much time on social media, she’s currently enjoying Parks and Recreation and has a soft spot for all things Marvel. A black belt in Taekwondo, Olivia is passionate about exercise, physical activity, and overall well-being. Her favourite quote sums up her balanced approach to life: “Eat clean to stay fit, have a burger to stay sane”.
